The effects of all the hard work on friendship fortnight lessons were clear to be seen on yard today. We witnessed a lot of people being good friends and looking out for each other. Well done to all involved. The prize winners of each class competition will be announced at assembly on Thursday 26th October. Watch this space…
Today Ms. O’Reilly’s 5th class were learning about factual recounts. We put our presenting skills to the test by broadcasting the news live in the classroom.
This was a great activity for the children to develop their communication skills, improve factual recount writing and gain confidence presenting in front of the class all through drama.
We had some excellent reports on hurricane Ophelia and everyone worked really hard!
On the 27th of October we will be having a Halloween fun day in the school. Children can come in dressed up in their costumes, if they wish to do so, and we will all take part in a spooky walk around the area @ 10:45. From 11:15 the Parents’ Association will be running some Halloween games in the parents’ room, each class will go with their teacher to play the games. If you are free on the morning of the 27th please come in and lend a hand as we will need as many adults as possible to ensure our spooky walk and games are safe and fun. If parents would like to dress up please do!
If you are free please text Ms. Murphy and let her know on 0863311996
