Different Families, Same Love is a competition open to all primary schools in Ireland during the month of May. It’s aim is to celebrate the diversity of people and families which is now reflected in Irish society and indeed our classrooms today.

Mr Greene’s 1st class have done an amazing amount of work for their entry this year. They demonstrated their learning through artwork, reading and creating poetry. They enjoyed conducting a survey across different class groups to find out lot’s of information about the different types of families in our school.

A special thanks to Ana, Evelyn and William who have been very busy sharing our project with several classes and teachers over the last week.

Families come in all shapes and sizes and we know now that the most important thing about a family is that they make you feel loved, safe and cared for!
