Little Library Book Bag – SDCC Library
South Dublin County Libraries have started a new initiative called the ‘Little Library Book Bag’ scheme.
If your child is starting school in September, children and their parents or guardians can collect a Little Library Book Bag at their local South Dublin Library branch. You just need to come into the library and say you have a little one starting school, and they’ll get them a bag and sign them up for a library card if they aren’t already a member.
Each My Little Library Book Bag contains:
- Three books on starting school, making friends and being comfortable to be yourself
- A story card on going to the library
- A postcard the child can write or draw on and send to their new teacher, or bring to give to the teacher on their first day at school
- Their very own library card and special ‘My Little Library’ cardholder
You just need to come into the library and collect the bag, nothing else is needed.
