3rd and 4th Class Soccer Blitz

It was the turn of our 3rd and 4th classes to take part in our Active Flag football blitz on the school pitch today. The stunning sunshine provided a glorious backdrop to another great day of footballing fun. Almost 100 pupils took part in today’s event, along with over 80 who took part yesterday in the 5th/6th blitz. These blitzes are part of the FAIS/Spar Primary 5s and we were visited on the day by our local FAI Development Officer, Robbie, who was hugely impressed by the football on show.

Our winning teams were;

Girls Cup: Shelbourne
Girls Shield: Peamount Utd
Boys Cup: Derry City
Boys Shield: Sligo Rovers

Well done to all the pupils who took part and showed great team spirit. Thanks to our sixth class pupils who acted as referees and managers on the day, and to all the staff who helped supervise and organise the event.
