The use of scrap paper boxes was taking place in some classes in the school but Green Schools Committee thought it would be a good idea to extend this to all classes in the school.
Scrap paper is any photocopied sheets that are blank on one side and can be used for drawing pictures, playing x’s and o’s etc, rather than using paper from the photocopier.
Boxes used for delivering photocopying paper were collected and re-used during the shoebox appeal and have been re-purposed again as scrap paper. The design on the front of each box was created by Regina and Daria in 6th class.
5th class pupils labelled the boxes and delivered them to classes from 2nd – 6th with Ms Tighe. Once we have more boxes we will be bringing them to infants and 1st classrooms
