Sam Maguire and Brendan Martin Come to Visit! ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐ ๐Ÿ‘•๐Ÿ‘•๐Ÿ‘• ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ

St Dominic’s played host to two special visitors today – the Sam Maguire and Brendan Martin trophies won by the successful Dublin senior men’s and women’s football teams. The visit was arranged by our friends in Thomas Davis GAA club and the trophies were brought in by Olwen Carey, Siobhรกn McGrath and Ciara McGuigan who starred for the Dubs and Davis’ this year.

We are very lucky to have welcomed Sam for the fifth year and a row and the seventh time this decade – our pupils our now expecting the trophy every year. It is the third year in a row we have welcome the Brendan Martin Cup and the three players answered some great questions from our pupils about how they won it and how they made it to the top of their sport.

Our girls and boys football panels were lucky to take a picture with the trophies while some lucky pupils got to chat with their heroes. Here’s to next year!
