Dominic’s All-Ireland Finals

Today marked the finals of our annual Dominic’s All-Ireland Gaelic football tournament for girls and boys from 3rd, 4th and 5th classes. Well done to everyone who took part over the last few weeks. Unfortunately the competition was affected by some of the recent bad weather but all players got to take part in at least three games.

Today’s Mixed Final saw the yellows of London defeat the greens of New York with Zara (London) chosen as Laoch na hImeartha (Player of the Match).

Our Girls Final saw Tyrone (red) take on Donegal (blue/black). Donegal ran out winners. There were excellent performances from Emma (Donegal), Gabriella (Tyrone) and Laoch na hImeartha Holly (Donegal) in particular.

Our Boys Final was a tight affair with some great skill on show. Kerry (blue) were victors by one point over Mayo (red). Cameron and Daniel put in strong performances for the Connacht team but Laoch na hImeartha Dylan O and full-back Dylan F led their team to glory.

Well done to everyone who helped out and supported. Thanks to the teachers who gave up their break times to referee and organise games. We are looking forward to seeing lots of girls and boys at our Gaelic football training in September!
