Health and Wellbeing Week in Third Class
Last week (September 10th – 14th) was Health and Wellbeing Week in St. Dominic’s. Throughout the week, we pupils in Ms Soffe and Ms Ormsby’s third classes were learning all about how to keep our minds and our bodies happy and healthy. We celebrated our health and wellbeing in lots of exciting ways. Have a look below at some of the events and activities that we took part in to boost our health and wellbeing.
Both third classes practised yoga which was very relaxing!
We also got creative and designed health and wellbeing posters in order to promote Health and Wellbeing Week in St. Dominic’s. Take a look at some of the posters that we designed!
Perhaps best of all was the surprise waiting for us on Thursday morning. We had a visit from some fluffy friends – My Canine Companion came to visit the third classes and brought along three dogs. My Canine Companion is a national charity that trains dogs to assist children and young adults living with Autism. The three dogs that visited us in St. Dominic’s are companions and helpers for children with Autism. We learned lots about the fantastic work that these dogs and their trainers do and even got to pet each of the three dogs at the end. A huge thank you to all of the trainers and dogs who came to visit our school. Take a look at all our smiles in the pictures below!!
Happy health and wellbeing from all the pupils in third class!
