Girls Footballers Bow Out

Our girls soccer team completed their season on Friday with a quarter final loss away to St Bernadette’s. Beset by transport issues, our girls had to play the first half with nine players versus eleven. A wonderful solo goal from Esther gave the home side something to worry about but despite great performances all round, our girls bowed out on a 6-1 scoreline.

We are proud of the wonderful work of our girls in training and playing matches together. It has been a great first season as an 11-a-side team with a win and two draws. We thank all the parents for their support. We also thank the staff of the school who’ve helped out, including Ms Tighe and Ms O’Reilly who helped make last-minute arrangements last Friday when the bus failed to show! Well done again to all our girls!
