The boys & girls from Ms Brennan’s class worked hard on their Christmas art this year. They made robins from clay and they painted & glazed them. They made snowmen & used chalk & crayon to show light and shadow in a picture. Have a look at some of their fantastic work.
Ms. Larkin’s class have had great fun playing in Santa’s workshop over the last few weeks. There has been lots of busy elves! Ms. Larkin was very proud of her class singing their two songs at the concert. Well done everybody!
Ms Tighe’s first class have been very busy over the last few weeks. Here is a round-up of what we have been up to!
In English we read the Snow Queen and created images of what we thought her palace would look like. We also found out lots of information about polar bears and wrote up reports and decorated our own polar bear using sugar!
In art we made decorations as part of our fabric and fibre topic and some seasonal art.
We visited the church to see the Nativity crib and Advent wreath.
As part of our Geography topic we made a beautiful winter village. Thank you to all the parents for sending in cartons.
Mr Looney kindly came in and gave a talk to all the boys and girls in first class about rivers. We learned lots of interesting facts about our local river The Dodder. Today, to reward all our hard work, we had golden time, games and treats. Here is a short video of one of our games. https://youtu.be/uct4Qms-T30 We hope Elfie, our classroom elf gets back to the north pole safely to help Santa and we wish everybody a happy Christmas!
