Boys Gaelic Football: Brave Dominic’s Bow Out

Our boys Gaelic team finished their Cumann na mBunscol season yesterday with a brave performance in tough conditions away to a strong team from St Joseph’s, East Wall. Although the quarter final ended in defeat for Dominic’s, our second-half display showed the promise of our young team and their great development since training began in early September.

Our joint men of the match were full back Jake (6th Mr Fagan) and half back Fionn (5th Mr Looney), who scored a second half goal. Excellent points from Shane (5th Mr Looney) and Zach (5th Ms O’Reilly) saw us notch 1-2 in the second half. Goalkeeper Dylan (4th Ms Clarke) was again in great form, with a stunning double save in the first half. Other standout performances came from Calum (6th Mr Donnellan) and Alex (6th Mr Donnellan).

Well done to the 25 players who represented Dominic’s across our four games. We hope to have another friendly game in the coming weeks and will start soccer and hurling later in the year.
