Raising of 6th Green School Flag for St Dominic’s

We had big celebrations in St. Dominic’s N.S. on Tuesday when our famous past pupil Stephen Kenny , Dundalk FC Manager, raised our 6th green flag for Global Citizenship Litter & Waste. The whole school were involved in numerous projects, on various countries, focusing on litter & waste, social injustice, right & responsibilities, fair trade, Climate Change. A survey was completed before & after which showed a massive increase in knowledge in these areas.
Well done to the students council who kept all the classes informed on project content & upcoming activities. The enthusiastic SNA’s and teachers also played a vital role in this achievement doing extra work above what was expected. A big thank you to Ms.Brady Chairperson of the green schools Committee, who spent many hours & days putting the application together and made certain it all came together.
It was a massive achievement & a credit to all the pupils & staff in St. Dominic’s N.S.
