Dominic’s Boys March On

Our boys footballers continued their impressive start to the season with a comprehensive 5-2 win in today’s League match at home in TCS to Solas Chríost. Played in balmy sunshine on a carpet-like pitch, all sixteen squad members got to play at least a half and, with lots of positional changes and chances to try new roles, everyone gained plenty of experience.

Winger Jamie (6th) opened the scoring on 10 minutes with a rebound from the keeper. 5 minutes later, he finished calmly inside the box to make it 2-0. Centre-half Calum (5th) made it three shortly after with a neat finish from a corner. In the second half, Scott (6th) made it four after some good wing play from Jack and Karolis (both 6th). Shortly before the end, Jamie claimed his hat-trick after being re-introduced to the game, to make the score 5-2.

Man of the match on his first start for the school was central midfielder Alex (5th) with other strong performances from Conor, Wiktor and Eoin (all 6th). Well done to our whole squad today. We play again in the League next Wednesday, with a cup quarter final to come after Easter.
