Tallaght Community Council are bringing festive cheers to Tallaght village again this year, by lighting up the Christmas tree at the Dancers statue on Saturday, 17th of December at 4 pm. Our Tallaght Person of the Year, Simon Sweeney, will lead proceedings, and music will be provided by a local choir.
We also have Christmas Cards from Tallaght available for sale – €5 for 6 cards.#shoplocal

Our school was delighted to take part in the inaugural Show Racism the Red Card “Wear Red Day” today. Staff and pupils alike took part in the day to celebrate the diversity of our school and to say no to racism.
Staff and senior pupils wore red jerseys, t-shirts and tops to help promote the message against racism. Ms Tighe’s 1st Class watched a story called “A Crayon Box That Talked” and made red cards – check out their angry faces below in saying no to racism! Pupils from 4th to 6th class watched a DVD showing the effects of racism on young people and promoting a positive message from football, GAA and rugby stars. Ms Hogan’s 4th/5th class did some anti-racism artwork while Mr Looney’s 6th Class performed a “Mannequin Challenge” to highlight the Show Racism the Red Card campaign.
