School opens on September 1st
Sadly, the summer holidays are coming to an end next week. We will open on September 1st at 8.50am for all pupils. We are looking forward to welcoming our new junior infants on their very first day of school. Our caretaker has been busy over the summer preparing the building for the new school year. We have some new signage around the school to show parents and pupils where our new rooms and classrooms are located.
We have also had some changes to staffing over the summer. Emma Hickey and Noreen Shanahan have taken up teaching positions in Kilkenny and Tipperary respectively. Emma and Noreen were very valuable members of our staff and we are very sad to see them go. They had both been very involved in activities outside the classroom with our library, sensory room, hurling, camogie and football teams. We thank them for their commitment to St. Dominic’s and wish them well in their future teaching careers. We also welcome some teachers to our staff: Ms McHugh, Ms O’Gorman and Mr Fagan.
We have changed our class allocation to accommodate these changes in staff.
