St Dominic’s girls 5-a-side

Well done to our girls 5-a-side soccer team who participated in the Aviva competition in Irishtown today. Hats off to Mollie who scored a cracking goal and also to Jessica who proved to be very strong up front. Andreea and Megan held their own and a lot more in midfield, while Hannah , Abby and Ebose cleared the ball like it was going out of fashion. Sarah definitely had her weetabix   This morning as she cleared, caught and kicked balls, that Shay Given would have been proud of. Apart from the level of skill shown by the girls, what impressed Ms Hickey and Ms Hogan the most, was the positive attitude and respect the girls showed for themselves, other teams and their school. You did St. Dominic’s proud. Take a bow – well done ! ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

School tracksuit

Our school uniform survey indicated that parents would like to see an improvement in quality. So we have taken the decision to change supplier and get a better value product for our pupils.  Our survey results are available here.

As we change supplier we have an opportunity to look at the design of our tracksuit and see if different colour options or designs would help the overall image. I have 3 options of tracksuit below that parents can vote for. You may, of course, decide that our current tracksuit is what you would prefer and that can be voted for. Click on the pictures for more information.

Please click on the link below to complete the survey, I have asked for named responses so I can be sure we only have one response per pupil/family. Voting will close on Friday April 4th. Tracksuits will be on display all of next week in the school. Please come in for a look.

Dodder Valley Park

Our 5th class were out for a walk recently in Dodder Valley Park and bumped into Mayor Dermot Looney. The Mayor was turning the sod on a new development in the park. A bridge will be constructed that will cross the river Dodder and link the areas of Firhouse and Tallaght. The bridge will be located in the park near Seskin View Road and link up with the park near the Victory Centre on the Firhouse Road. Here are some wonderful pictures from our trip.

Thanks to @rocshot for the pictures.
