School closed

The school is closed on Friday 4th October for the referendum.

Budget 2014

The biggest worry schools have about the upcoming budget is a possible increase in the pupil/teacher ratio.  This would lead to bigger class sizes. The INTO is organising a protest against the threat to increase class size in Budget 2014. The protest will be held outside the Department of Education and Skills, Marlborough Street, Dublin 1 on Wednesday, 2 October at 4.30pm

A group of teachers from St. Dominic’s are making the trip in to Marlborough Street. We would love to see some St. Dominic’s parents there too showing their support.

Many thanks,

The Gaelic season has arrived ….

St Dominic’s took on St Martin’s yesterday in our first Gaelic match of the year. St Martin’s got off to a lucky start, but St Dominic’s kept on applying serious pressure and never gave up. All the boys on the back lines dug deep and fought until the finish.  Our midfielders were busy winning balls and passing to our forwards to score goals and pints. Well done to all the boys, you showed great heart and gave it your best shot. 🙂
