We Don’t Like Cricket – We Love It!

It’s been a busy week of sport in St Dominic’s with our hurling, soccer and camogie teams all in action. But did you know we are trying out a new sport in out school? 4th class have been taking cricket lessons with Paul, our coach from Leinster Cricket. We’ve had great fun learning to bat, bowl and field.

Some pictures of our session this week are below. Who knows – maybe we’ll discover the next Irish cricket star on the yard in St Dominic’s?

Our Tallaght Art Champion

Some of you may have seen the Oscars Ceremony in the USA during the week. But there was a ceremony which was nearly as glitzy in Tallaght on Tuesday night. Our very own Lauryn from Ms Farrell’s 5th Class won a prize in the Tallaght Community Council Children’s Art Awards for a wonderful painting based on Van Gogh’s “Starry Night.” Congrats to Lauryn on her achievement!

Below are pictures of Lauryn and her family, and her winning entry.
